PRESENCE THE SISTER MARTHA ANN FITZPATRICK LEGACY SOCIETY

Consistent with the Sisters of St Joseph of Orange centuries old tradition of celebrating Compassion, Dignity Justice, Excellence and Integrity, in 1999 Providence Mission Hospital Foundation established the Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick Legacy Society to honor eight founding members who had created a legacy gift to sustain our healing ministry.

As of 2021, we now celebrate 239 members who have created a legacy gift by including Providence Mission Hospital in their will, living trust: named the hospital as a beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan, or who have created a charitable gift annuity or life income plan where the Hospital is the remainder beneficiary

The immeasurable impact of matured legacy gift to the hospital is best illustrated with these examples:

Between the Diane Norton and Ford Dickerhoff legacy endowments, over $40,000 annually is distributed for nursing scholarship thus maintaining the highest standard of nursing excellence.

Legacy gifts received from the estates of Phylis Ruth Biddiscombe and Marthann Newton provided fund to complete the expansion of our Laguna Beach Emergency Department.

A legacy gift is clearly the most profound expression of philanthropy. By so doing, an individual deems Providence Mission Hospital worthy to receive a portion of what has taken a lifetime to accumulate. Regardless of your lot in life or situation please be assured: your legacy is critically important to continuing our healing ministry and touching lives for decades to come.
